The Foundation can distribute scholarships for individual persons’ studies and research at colleges or universities in Sweden or abroad within subject fields referring to food, agriculture, animal health and ecology.
Further, scholarships can be granted for research at higher levels within these fields and especially connected to research activities in the district of Halland.

Areas of focus for granting contributions from the Bertebos Foundation 2007-2011

During a five-year period from 2007 until 2011, scholarships for research within the following two focus areas will be given priority:

- Food production and climate changes

- Food with extra value
